Can I use a wireless network with a Kaleidescape player?

Kaleidescape strongly recommends the use of a wired Ethernet connection whenever possible.

When it is not practical to wire a cable directly, consider Wi-Fi bridge devices (of the same brand as the currently installed Wi-Fi devices), or power line / coax to Ethernet adapters.

Use of a wireless connection using an extender or bridge is supported for players such as K0701 Strato V, K0703 Strato E and K0702 Strato M configured in stand-alone mode, providing Internet access for the Kaleidescape System for downloads and cloud access, connect control systems, and enable access to the browser interface from a local computer.

Wireless connections are not recommended and not supported for players in a grouped configuration with a server.
