Can you import discs to an Alto player?

The Kaleidescape Alto player will only store content downloaded from the Kaleidescape store.  Physical discs will not import; they will be catalogued and visible on your movie list or cover art view.  Physical discs can be played directly from the optical drive in the Alto player.

Disc to Digital is the Kaleidescape option to upgrade physical DVD and Blu-ray discs to a digital format via download from Kaleidescape. Once movies have been upgraded, they can then be downloaded onto your Kaleidescape system.
