How do I reset the passcode for parental controls on Cinema One?

On Cinema One, a passcode can be created to restrict access to movies above a specific rating. This is the same passcode which restricts deleting content. The passcode is changed in the on-screen user interface.

  1. Press the Menu button on the Kaleidescape remote, or press Menu on the Remote Control page of the Kaleidescape iPad app, or press the Kaleidescape logo in the top left corner of a touch panel using a Kaleidescape control template.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to highlight System, then select Settings. The Settings page appears.
  3. Select Passcode. Three options appear, which are described below.

Select Change passcode

 
  • The Enter Passcode page appears.
  • Enter the current passcode, then select OK. The Enter New Passcode page appears.
  • Enter a new passcode and confirm the new passcode.
  • Select Save passcode. The passcode has successfully been changed.


Select Clear passcode
 
  • The Enter Passcode page appears.
  • Enter the current passcode, then select Clear passcode
    .

Select I forgot my passcode
 
  • The Forgotten Passcode page appears.
  • Select Reset passcode. The Passcode Reset Email Sent page appears.
  • Press OK or Select to continue. An email message appears in your inbox within five minutes.
  • Click the link in the email message.
  • A second email message with a temporary passcode appears in your inbox within five minutes. Use it to change or clear the passcode.

NOTE: The passcode reset request is only valid for one day.
