How long does it take to import a disc?

NOTESystems sold by Kaleidescape after November 30, 2014, are not able to import CSS-protected DVDs. For more information, please visit - CSS-Protected-DVD-FAQs

On systems where imports are supported, it takes approximately 60 minutes to import a Blu-ray disc, approximately 20 minutes to import a DVD, and approximately 15 minutes to import a CD.

A scratched, dirty, or poorly authored disc may take longer to import. Imports may also take longer when the import device is playing back content, if the network connection is not Gigabit, or if importing is done to a Cinema One (2nd generation) connected via Wi-Fi. As a general rule of thumb, let the disc import until it successfully completes, or fails with an error status. Some poorly authored discs may take hours to complete.

Strato systems do not support music or importing of discs. DVDs and Blu-ray discs may be cataloged so they can be shown in the on-screen user interface, like content downloaded from the Kaleidescape Movie Store.
