How can we help you?

My audio receiver or processor does not decode DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD. Can Kaleidescape Alto, an M-Class player or Cinema One do it instead?

Kaleidescape Alto, an M-Class player, or Cinema One (2nd generation) cannot decode lossless audio formats to output 7.1 Linear PCM at the original sampling rate. In order to listen to the unaltered lossless audio track, the HDMI audio decode mode must be set to Bitstream pass-through and your audio receiver or processor must decode these formats.

Kaleidescape Alto, an M-Class player, and Cinema One (2nd generation) can play the audio from any Blu-ray disc for use with nearly any audio receiver or processor. When the HDMI audio decode mode is set to Player decode, audio output over HDMI for Blu-ray movies is 48 kHz PCM, up to 5.1 channels. Audio output over optical/coax is DTS or stereo PCM.
