Why does my Alto or M-Class player not respond to control and have no video output?

Make sure the Alto or M-Class player has not accidentally been Co-star paired with a Strato in the system. When Co-star paired with a Strato, an Alto or M-Class player’s video output will be disabled and control will be routed through the Strato.  

You can confirm Co-star pairing for your system in the browser interface of the Strato: 

  1. In a web browser, navigate to my-kaleidescape or my-kaleidescape.local (or enter the IP address of the Strato directly) 

  1. If there are multiple Kaleidescape systems on your local network, you may view other systems by selecting “View another system” link at the top of the page; select the Strato system 

  1. On the Strato system browser interface, select the Settings tab 

  1. On the Settings tab, select the System & Player Pairing sub-tab 

  1. If you find that a player has been paired to the Strato, you can unpair them by unselecting the Alto or M-Class player that is paired with the Strato
